Peter Causton

Barrister and Mediator

Peter Causton is a barrister and an experienced civil and commercial mediator, and is a Fellow of the Civil Mediation Council. He practised for many years as a solicitor, conducting substantial litigation, before returning to the Bar.

He sits as a Deputy District Judge and has considerable experience of disputes concerning property, inheritance, probate and family-related financial issues, as well as a broad range of complex civil and commercial claims.

Peter is also a mediation trainer and assessor and writes and speaks regularly on mediation and dispute resolution.

Rajinder Rai

Civil & Commercial Mediator and Solicitor

Rajinder Rai qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and is an accredited civil and commercial mediator. She has extensive experience of civil disputes, with a particular focus on contentious probate, challenges to wills, trust disputes and Court of Protection matters.

Her wider experience includes contract and construction disputes, cohabitation and property claims, boundary disputes, professional negligence, insolvency, personal injury, clinical negligence and landlord and tenant matters.

When acting as mediator, Rajinder is an independent neutral. Her work is separate from her legal practice and she does not advise or represent either party to the mediation.
